Robin Hood Studios wants every small business to have access to the same level of video production quality as the big players. The Gold Coin program allows select partners who work in the marketing space to provide discounts ranging up to 50% off of a video project to their clients.
How It Works
Each partner starts with 3 coins, hand-delivered, that they can then give to the client of their choice to get a discount of $100 per coin, up to 50% of the normal price of the project they get. Upon the client paying for their project, Robin Hood Studios will hand-deliver coins back to the partner.
Official Rules & Policies
To qualify for the discount, there are several criteria that need to be met:
The client cannot have already been referred to Robin Hood Studios by the partner, or already have had work performed by Robin Hood Studios
The client must reach out to Robin Hood Studios and set up a consultation/sales call; coins cannot be redeemed if the meeting is initiated by Robin Hood Studios
The client must give the coins to Robin Hood Studios at the initial consultation/sales call and inform us which partner gave them the coins so we know who to return them to.
Partners can provide coins to a client for any reason. Robin Hood Studios will not ask the client why they were given the coins.
Robin Hood Studios reserves the right to refuse partnership with any company for any reason.
Partners are not permitted to use their coins themselves, but ARE permitted to use coins from another partner if they are a client of the other partner.
Coins cannot be pooled between partners for use by a mutual client.
Partners do not have to give all of their coins to one client at a time; if they would rather give 3 clients $100 off apiece, that is perfectly acceptable.
Each partner starts with 3 coins, but depending on the size of the project that the coins are redeemed for, the partner may receive more or less than that back.
For example, if the partner gives 3 coins to a client for a $4,000 project, the partner would receive an additional coin (totaling 4) when they are returned to them.
Additions or subtractions will always occur in one-coin increments.
In the interest of transparency, here are the exact numbers we use to determine how many coins a partner receives back after a project:
The partner will receive back the standard 3 coins if the project is between $1,500 and $3,000 in initial cost. (discounted cost would be between $1,200 and $2,700).
If 3 or more coins are used to discount a project smaller than $1,500, the partner will get back one coin fewer than were used.
If 2 or more coins are used to discount a project smaller than $500, the partner will get back one coin fewer than were used.
The partner will receive back more than three coins after they are used for projects $3,000 and larger, one coin for every thousand, up to $10,000. Increases are incremental, so using 3 coins on a $5,000 project would yield a 4th coin, but not a 5th unless the four coins are then used for another $5,000 project
While we will always honor discounts up to 50% off of a project based on the number of coins used, we hope to incentivize our partners to use the coins to provide discounts between 10-20%. Hence the complicated policy above.
